We had the good fortune of connecting with Violet and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Violet, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business? When I was first starting out my business I really, truly prepared myself for a lot of things before my initial launch. I like to say “get ready, to get ready, to get ready”. I believe you can set yourself up for success by preparing all the things necessary before you take the big leap. So that is exactly what I did; I built a solid foundation. This looked like branding, systems, target market, purpose, legal documents, and much, much more. I made sure to do this all before I even accepted my first client. And let me tell you, it gave me a lot of confidence and security when I did pull the trigger to launch Premier Violet Hair Extensions.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What I am most proud of working in the hair extensions industry is how I make women feel. I work with a lot of different women who come from all walks of life: stay at home moms, CEOs, strippers, teachers, cancer survivors, secretaries – you name it. And I love them all. But one thing they all desire is to feel feminine and confident. I believe when you look good, you feel good, and you do good. I believe that when you feel confident you are able to achieve more things and be happier in every aspect of your life. I want to give women the confidence to run business meetings with ease, go out with their girlfriends and not have to worry what they look like, be secure in their intimate relationships, and believe in themselves to pursue all of their personal endeavors. My goal is to provide hair extensions for all women while maintaining their hair health, and providing affordable extensions and quality services.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition? I’d like to thank myself for all the long hours, dedication and belief I had in me. I’d like to thank myself for becoming a cosmetologist, accountant, interior designer, social media marketer, secretary, website/graphic designer, scientist, investor, blogger, and photographer. I knew you could do it!
